Every CineFlow account includes a storage quota for the files you upload and generate within the app. Your quota depends on your plan, and you can monitor your usage at any time from Settings. If you’re approaching your limit, there are several ways to free up space or expand your available storage.

What counts toward your storage

Storage usage is calculated across all files associated with your account, including:
  • Project cover images — thumbnail images attached to each project
  • Shot storyboard images — images uploaded or generated for individual shots
  • Script files — script documents uploaded to a project
  • Documents — any other files attached to your production
  • Avatars — your profile picture
CineFlow calculates storage at the account level, not per project. All files across all your projects contribute to a single shared quota.

Checking your storage usage

1

Open Settings

Click your avatar or workspace name in the top navigation and select Settings.
2

Go to the Usage tab

Select the Usage tab from the settings sidebar.
3

Review the Storage card

The Storage card shows how many gigabytes you’ve used out of your total quota, with a visual progress bar. Usage is calculated in real time across all your uploaded files.

What happens when you approach or hit your limit

CineFlow tracks your storage usage and blocks new uploads once you’ve reached your quota.
When your storage usage reaches approximately 80% of your quota, the progress bar in Settings > Usage turns amber as a visual indicator. You can still upload files, but it’s a good time to review and clean up any unused assets.
Hitting your storage limit does not affect access to your existing files or projects. You can still view, edit, and export all content that’s already in CineFlow — you just can’t upload new files until you free up space or upgrade.

Tips for managing your storage

If you’re on the Free or Solo plan and running low on storage, these steps can help you reclaim space.
Projects you’re no longer actively working on can be archived. Archiving removes them from your main project list but keeps all their data intact. While archiving itself doesn’t delete files, it helps you identify which projects are candidates for cleanup. To archive a project, open the project’s settings or use the overflow menu on the project card and select Archive.
Storyboard images — especially AI-generated ones — can accumulate quickly across a shot list. If you’ve regenerated storyboard frames and no longer need older versions, removing them frees up storage without affecting the rest of your shot data.Navigate to the shot in question, open the storyboard panel, and delete any images you no longer need.
If you’ve uploaded multiple drafts of a script, check whether older versions are still needed. You can view and manage uploaded script files within each project.
Uploading a new profile image replaces the old one, so this is unlikely to be a significant source of storage use. Still, it’s included in your total quota.

Upgrading for more storage

If you need more storage than your current plan provides, upgrading is the most straightforward option.
1

Open Settings > Plan and Billing

Navigate to Settings and select the Plan and Billing tab.
2

Review available plans

Compare the storage included with each plan: Solo (5 GB), Team (10 GB), and Pro (30 GB).
3

Upgrade your plan

Click Upgrade on the plan that meets your needs. Your new storage limit is available immediately after checkout completes.
Pro plan users get 30 GB of storage — enough for most full-length film productions, including large script files and extensive storyboard image libraries.
