CineFlow lets you invite other people to work on your projects alongside you. Collaborators can be assigned different roles depending on how much access you want them to have, and you can adjust or revoke their access at any time from Settings.

Plan limits

The number of collaborators you can invite depends on your subscription plan. Each limit applies per project.
PlanCollaborators included
Free0 (no collaborators)

If you need more seats than your plan includes, you can purchase additional collaborator seat add-ons from the Billing tab in Settings.

Inviting someone to a project

1

Open Settings

In the sidebar, click Settings, then select the Collaborators tab.
2

Enter the collaborator's email

Under Invite collaborator, type the email address of the person you want to invite. You can also press Enter to send.
3

Choose a role

Select a role from the dropdown next to the email field. See Roles and permissions below for a description of each role.
4

Send the invite

Click Send invite. CineFlow sends an invitation email to that address immediately.
Only project owners and admins can send invitations. If you don’t see the invite form, you may not have admin access to this project.

How the invite works for the recipient

When someone receives a CineFlow invitation:
  1. They get an email from CineFlow with a link to accept or decline.
  2. Clicking the link takes them to the invite acceptance page. If they aren’t signed in, they’re redirected to the login page first and then back to the invite.
  3. They see the project name, your name, and the role they’ve been assigned.
  4. They can click Accept to join the project immediately, or Decline to dismiss the invite.
Pending invitations expire automatically. You can see the expiry date for each pending invite in the Pending invites section of the Collaborators tab.

Roles and permissions

CineFlow has three assignable roles. You can change a collaborator’s role at any time from the Collaborators tab.

Admin

Can invite and remove other collaborators, change roles, and access all project content.

Editor

Can view and edit project content. Cannot manage other collaborators.

Viewer

Read-only access to project content. Cannot make changes.
The project owner always has full control and cannot be removed or have their role changed by other collaborators.

Managing existing collaborators

Changing a role

In the Members or Project collaborators table on the Collaborators tab, use the role dropdown next to any collaborator’s name to change their role. The change takes effect immediately.

Removing a collaborator

Click the remove button (the X icon) next to a collaborator’s name. This immediately revokes their access to the project.

Revoking a pending invite

If someone hasn’t accepted their invite yet, they appear under Pending invites. Click Revoke to cancel the invite before it’s accepted.

Leaving a project you’ve joined

If you’ve been added to someone else’s project and want to leave it:
1

Open Settings

Go to Settings and select the Collaborators tab.
2

Find the project

Scroll to the Projects I’ve joined section, which lists all projects where you’re a collaborator rather than the owner.
3

Leave the project

Hover over the project row and click Leave. You’re removed from the project immediately.
Leaving a project is immediate and cannot be undone from your side. The project owner would need to re-invite you if you want access again.
