Set View is CineFlow’s on-set execution mode. It strips away everything you don’t need during a shoot and puts your shot list, schedule blocks, and progress tracking front and centre. Designed to work well on a phone or tablet in your hand, Set View lets you and your team move through a shoot day shot by shot without opening a laptop.

Selecting a shoot day

When you open Set View, the most recently active shoot day is loaded automatically. If you have multiple shoot days on the schedule, use the shoot day selector at the top of the screen to switch between them.
1

Open Set View

Navigate to Set View in the project sidebar. CineFlow loads the last shoot day you were working in, or the first scheduled day if no preference has been saved.
2

Switch shoot day

Tap the shoot day selector at the top of the screen. A dropdown lists all your scheduled shoot days — tap any day to load its shot order and schedule blocks.
You can jump directly to a specific shoot day from the project search. Select the shoot day from the search results and CineFlow will open Set View with that day active.
Each item in the shoot day — whether a shot or a schedule block — is displayed as a card. You move through items one at a time using the navigation controls at the bottom of the screen.
  • Previous — go back one item in the shoot order
  • Next — advance to the next item
The current item is displayed prominently in the centre of the screen. Shots show the scene number, shot number, lens, setup notes, and any other details from your shotlist. Schedule blocks (meals, travel, equipment changes, etc.) show the block type and notes.
The navigation controls skip disabled or hidden items automatically, so your tap count always reflects the real working order of the day.

Marking shot status

For each shot, you can set one of three execution statuses using the action buttons below the shot card:
StatusWhen to use
Not startedDefault state — the shot hasn’t been attempted yet
In progressCamera is rolling or the setup is actively underway
CompletedThe shot is in the can and you’re ready to move on
When you mark a shot as Completed, Set View automatically advances to the next item in the list and the status is synced back to your main shotlist so completion widgets and reports stay up to date.
1

Start a shot

Tap In progress on the current shot card when your crew begins setting up or rolling camera.
2

Complete a shot

Tap Completed when the director calls it. Set View advances to the next item automatically.
3

Step back if needed

Use the Previous navigation button to return to a shot and update its status if something changes.

Schedule blocks

Not every item in a shoot day is a shot. Schedule blocks represent non-shooting time — meals, travel, equipment moves, safety briefings, and similar events. They appear inline in the shot order, just like shots, so your execution flow matches the full callsheet. When a schedule block is the current item, the block card shows the block type with a relevant icon (meals show a fork and knife, travel shows a car, etc.) along with any notes attached to the block. You can mark a schedule block as started or completed the same way you would a shot.

Progress indicator

A progress bar at the top of the Set View screen shows how far through the shoot day you are. The bar fills as shots are marked complete. You can also see at a glance:
  • How many shots are completed
  • How many shots remain
  • Whether any shots are currently in progress
This gives the director, AD, and any department heads a live reading of where the day stands without needing to count anything manually.

Live Feed integration

Set View is connected to CineFlow’s Live Feed feature. When a Live Feed is active for the current shoot day, anyone watching the feed sees the current shot status broadcast in real time — no manual updates required from your end.
1

Activate the Live Feed

Open the Live Feed controls in Set View (look for the broadcast icon near the top of the screen). Start the feed for the current shoot day.
2

Share the link

Copy the Live Feed link and share it with producers, clients, or remote crew. They can follow along on any device without a CineFlow account.
3

Status updates broadcast automatically

As you mark shots in progress or completed in Set View, the Live Feed updates for all viewers immediately.
See Live Feed for full setup instructions, including how to pause and stop a broadcast.

Camera Reports

Camera reports can be created and filled in directly from the shoot day context. A camera report logs each shot, the camera and magazine used, the rolls exposed, and any relevant take notes — essential paperwork for editorial and the lab.
1

Open camera reports

Navigate to Camera Reports in the project sidebar. Camera reports are listed by shoot day.
2

Create a new report

Select a shoot day from the dropdown and click New Report. CineFlow creates a blank report for that day and opens the editor.
3

Add shots to the report

Inside the report editor, use the scene/shot picker to select shots from your shotlist. Shots are added as entries in the report.
4

Log takes

For each shot entry, add individual takes. Record the camera body, magazine, roll number, lens, and any slate or take notes. Takes carry metadata forward automatically where possible so you don’t re-enter the same camera details on every line.
5

Lock the report

When the day is wrapped and the report is complete, lock it. Locked reports are read-only and display a lock badge on the report list.
Deleting a camera report permanently removes all shot entries and takes logged against it. This action cannot be undone. Use the lock status instead to close out a completed report without losing data.
See Documents, diagrams, and camera reports for more detail on the camera report editor fields.
