CineFlow is available as a native macOS desktop app and an iOS app, alongside the web app at app.cineflow.cloud. All three share the same account and sync your data in real time, so you can move between a laptop in the production office, a phone on set, and a browser at the editing suite without any friction.

macOS desktop app

Downloading

The desktop app is available from the CineFlow website. You can also visit app.cineflow.cloud directly — the download link for macOS is available from there.
1

Download the installer

Go to the CineFlow website and download the macOS app. The installer is a standard .dmg file.
2

Open the DMG and drag CineFlow to Applications

Double-click the downloaded .dmg, then drag the CineFlow icon into your Applications folder.
3

Open CineFlow and sign in

Launch CineFlow from your Applications folder or Spotlight. Sign in with the same email and password you use on the web.

Auto-updates

The desktop app checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available, you’ll see an update prompt inside the app. Accepting it downloads and installs the update without you needing to visit the website again.
If you dismiss an update prompt, CineFlow will remind you again the next time it checks. Keeping the app up to date ensures you have the latest features and fixes.

Offline support

The desktop app lets you access your projects when you don’t have an internet connection. You can browse shot lists, callsheets, and other project content offline. Changes you make while offline sync back to the server the next time a connection is available.
Open a project before heading to a location with poor connectivity. CineFlow caches the project data locally so everything is ready when you arrive on set.

Desktop vs. web

The desktop app and the web app offer the same features. The desktop app adds:
  • Offline access to your projects
  • Native system notifications for project updates when the app is running in the background
  • Persistent login — you stay signed in between sessions without needing to re-authenticate

iOS app

Downloading

Search for CineFlow in the App Store, or use the link on the CineFlow website to go directly to the listing.
1

Open the App Store

On your iPhone, open the App Store and search for CineFlow.
2

Download and install

Tap Get to download and install the app.
3

Open CineFlow and sign in with the same account you use on the web or desktop.

Push notifications on iOS

To receive push notifications, you need to grant permission in iOS Settings.
1

Open iOS Settings

Tap Settings on your iPhone’s home screen.
2

Find CineFlow in the app list

Scroll down and tap CineFlow.
3

Enable notifications

Tap Notifications and turn on Allow Notifications. Choose your preferred alert styles — Lock Screen, Notification Centre, and Banners are all supported.
Once permission is granted, configure which events send push notifications in Settings > Notifications inside CineFlow. See notification preferences for details.

Live Activities

During a Live Feed session on set, CineFlow can show the current shot on your iPhone’s Dynamic Island and lock screen using iOS Live Activities. When a Live Feed is active, a Live Activity starts automatically on any iPhone running the CineFlow app. It displays:
  • The current shot name and number
  • Progress through the day’s shots
  • Scene information and lens/camera details
  • An “up next” indicator for the following shot
  • A shot timer (count up or count down, depending on how the Live Feed is configured)
The Live Activity updates in real time as the shot caller advances through the list. You can glance at your lock screen or Dynamic Island without unlocking your phone or opening the app.
Live Activities require iOS 16.2 or later. The Dynamic Island view requires iPhone 14 Pro or later. On older iPhones, the Live Activity appears on the lock screen and in the Notification Centre.

Switching between platforms

Your account and all project data sync across the web, desktop, and iOS apps in real time. You can:
  • Start a callsheet on your laptop and finish it on your iPhone
  • Check shot progress on your phone while the production coordinator monitors the full shot list on the desktop
  • Open the web app on any computer without installing anything
There is no manual sync step. As long as you are signed into the same account, every change appears on all your devices within seconds.
No. Sign in with the same email and password on the web, desktop, and iOS apps. Your projects, settings, and profile are all linked to one account.
The desktop app is currently available for macOS. A Windows build is in progress — check the CineFlow website or release notes for availability updates.
CineFlow applies offline changes when you reconnect. If the same field was edited on another device while you were offline, the most recent change wins. For collaborative shot lists and callsheets, it’s best to coordinate with your team before making bulk edits offline.
