CineFlow lets you share individual documents with anyone using a secure, read-only link. Recipients don’t need a CineFlow account to open the link—they can view the document straight from their browser. You can create multiple links for the same document, label them for different audiences, and revoke any link at any time.

What you can share

The following document types support shareable links:

Shot list

Share a read-only view of your shot list, including scene breakdowns, shot details, and custom fields.

Script

Share a formatted read-only view of a script. Recipients see the Fountain-formatted content rendered cleanly in the browser.

Callsheet

Share a published callsheet with crew and cast. You can also email the link directly to recipients from the share dialog.

Gear list

Share a filtered or full view of your gear list, optionally scoped to specific departments or equipment owners.
The process is the same across all document types. Open the document you want to share and look for the share button in the toolbar, then follow these steps:
1

Open the share dialog

In the relevant module—shot list, script, callsheet, or gear list—click the share icon in the toolbar. The share dialog opens.
2

Create a new link

Click Create new link. CineFlow generates a unique, secure token for this link.
3

Label the link (optional)

Type a label in the text field at the top of the link card, such as “Director cut” or “Client review”. Labels help you keep track of who each link was created for.
4

Copy and share the link

Click the copy icon next to the link URL. Paste the link into an email, message, or wherever you need to share it.
You can create as many links as you need for a single document. Each link has its own token, so you can revoke them independently.

What recipients see

When someone opens a share link, they see a read-only view of the document. The exact content depends on the document type:
  • Shot list — scene names, shot numbers, descriptions, shot type, angle, movement, lens, and any custom fields.
  • Script — the full script rendered in standard screenplay format.
  • Callsheet — the published version of the callsheet at the time it was last published (not a live draft).
  • Gear list — equipment items grouped by department or owner, with status, quantity, and notes.
No editing controls are shown. Recipients do not need a CineFlow account to view the document. When CineFlow generates a share link, it copies a unique URL to your clipboard that you can paste anywhere. Recipients open the link in their browser — no account or login required.
Callsheet links point to the most recently published version of the callsheet. If you update the callsheet and want recipients to see the changes, you need to publish again from the callsheet’s share dialog.

Gear list filters

When sharing a gear list, you can restrict what a link shows to specific departments or equipment owners. This is useful if you want to send a camera department their gear list without revealing the full production inventory.
1

Expand the filter panel

On the link card, click the filter summary row (it shows text like “All departments · All owners”) to expand the filter options.
2

Select departments

Check the departments you want to include. If nothing is checked, all departments are included.
3

Select owners

If your gear list has multiple equipment owners, you can restrict the link to show only items belonging to specific owners.
To stop a link from working:
Once a link is deleted, the URL stops working immediately. Anyone who has the old link will no longer be able to open the document. Disabling (rather than deleting) is safer if you might want to re-enable access later.

Emailing a callsheet directly

Callsheets have an additional option to email the share link directly to recipients without leaving CineFlow:
1

Open the callsheet share dialog

Open the callsheet and click the share button.
2

Publish the callsheet

If you haven’t published yet, click Publish. You can also click Publish & send to publish and email in one step.
3

Add recipients

Type email addresses into the recipient field and press Enter after each one. You can also paste a comma-separated list. If your callsheet already has crew and cast added, click Add callsheet crew & cast to pull in their emails automatically.
4

Send

Click Send to N recipients. CineFlow emails each recipient the link to the published callsheet.
